INTRODUCTION

Daral-Uloom Muhammadia Ghousia Bhera

Introduction
Beginning of the 19th century is considered as an educational deterioration for the Muslims. Separation and distance from awareness snatched the dignified status of the Muslims from them. The Muslims of this area (Bhera) were in the worst condition because the Hindus were in the majority here.
At that time, when establishment of the religious institutions were similar to the direct confrontation with the government and the Hindus, Gazi-ul-Islam Hazrat Pir Muhammad Shah (RA) established a religious educational institution, Darul-Uloom Muhammadia Ghousia at Bhera. After that he also started Muhammadia Ghousia School for the poor Muslims.
In 1957, Zia–ul-Ummah Hazrat Jusitice Pir Muhammad Karam Shah (RA) came back to homeland after the completion of his higher education from Al-Azhar University. He revitalized Darul-Uloom Muhammadia Ghousia as a contemporary Religious Institution. The motive behind this mission was to provide the Muslim Ummah with capable intellectuals who are well versed in vital Islamic order and competent enough to lead the Muslim Ummah in molding its life in accordance with the wisdom of Islam.
Hence according to the demand and call of that time, Hazrat Zia-ul-Ummah (RA) introduced such an educational system where each benefited person has equal proficiency in the religious as well as in the contemporary education. Dar-ul-Uloom Muhammdia Ghousia concerns itself with the religious syllabus, which pays special awareness to religious studies on the one hand, while on the other teaches the modern studies.
An educational movement which started in a small room in 1925 at Bhera, is now turned into a fruit bearing and successful movement. This institute is today a distinguished spiritual and scholastic center in the Islamic world. It is one of the premier institutions for spreading of Islam and the major head spring of education in the Islamic sciences. Thousands of the graduated scholars are working for the glory and eminence of Deen-e-Islam in different countries of the world. The fact is that the Darul Uloom, Muhammdia Ghousia is a great spiritual and educational movement of this century.
